Programme for 14th Cape Town Convention Conference Now Available

Cape Town Convention Academic Project is pleased to announce the full programme for the 14th Cape Town Convention Conference, set for 2nd and 3rd September 2025 at Robinson College, Cambridge, UK. This year’s conference offers a hybrid format, allowing both in-person and virtual attendance.

The detailed programme features a keynote on treaty interpretation, alongside sessions from leading legal academics and experts. Key topics include the importance of court rules for implementation, the role of non-judicial remedies, and insights from the Aircraft Protocol relevant to the Mining, Agriculture, and Construction (MAC) Protocol. Attendees will also delve into treaty compliance and the Convention’s impact on domestic secured transactions and leasing law, with specific discussions on IDERAs and the Vietjet case.

A conference dinner at Sidney Sussex College will be held on the evening of 2nd September.

Additionally, a Consultation Launch Event for the Guide on Best Practices for Electronic Business Registries will take place on 1st September in Cambridge, and an International Conference on the benefits of the Rail and MAC Protocols will be held on 5th September in EBRD Headquarters in London.
